Woodall died at his home in Talbot County Sunday night the 8th inst. He was in the 71st year of his age. He had lived a long and useful life and was one of Talbot’s best and substantial citizens. He once represented the county in the Legislature and, before the war, was one of the judges of the Inferior Court. He was charitable and sympathetic and always a friend of the distressed. He joined the church in early boyhood. He was the father of Prof. W.H. Woodall, of Columbus; Mr. Delay Woodall, Mrs. Walter Miller and Miss Lizzie Woodall, of Talbot County; Messrs. John and Daniel Woodall, of Barnesville and Mr. Robert Woodall of Atlanta. He was an uncle of Messrs. Henry, Fletcher and Seaborn Woodall, and of Mrs. Madison Mills. He was an upright man in all his dealings and his honorable life and constant integrity afforded a good example for his large family of worthy relatives. His remains were interred today in the family burial ground by the side of his wife who preceded him to the grave less than one year ago.
