Mr. J.I. Lucas Dead

Mr. J.I. Lucas, one of the oldest citizens of Talbot County, passed away at his 
home in Oneal’s District last Saturday, Feb. 23rd and was buried Saturday at 
the family burying ground.

Mr. Lucas was in his 86th year and lived in Talbot County practically all of 
his life.  He served in the Civil War under General Wheeler.  – Talbotton New
