Childs, wife of Mr. Wm. C. Childs breathed her last at her home at Prattsburg. She had been sick for several weeks with typhoid fever, contracted during the illness of her nephew, Osee Pye, whom she nursed faithfully until his death. Mrs. Childs was a pious Christian lady and a consistent member of the Methodist church. She leaves a grief stricken husband and two little girls aged five years and six months. The deceased lady was formerly Miss Jennie Freeman, sister of Mr. L.P. Freeman of our town. She was just 31 years old. The burial took place in the presence of a large number of friends at Collinsworth church on Monday morning Revs. Allison and Wade conducted the ceremony.
