He had been in failing health for several months and his death was not unexpected. Dr. Boyd was a skillful physician and one of our best citizens and his death is a great loss to the community at large. Moving here from an adjoining county a little more than twenty years ago he soon established himself a good practice and the time his health failed, was doing a large practice, having the entire confidence of every one and especially of his patients. Doctor Boyd was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church and was recently elected an elder in the newly established church in this place. The deceased was about sixty-eight years old. He leaves a wife and three daughters, Misses Ella, Belle and Willie Boyd. – Talbotton New Era, Oct. 3rd.
