W.G. Booth, which occurred at his home near Juniper early Friday morning the 7th inst. The deceased was about 71 years of age and was a superannuated minister, having been for a number of years a prominent member of the Florida Methodist Conference. He is survived by a wife, four sons and one daughter, who have the deepest sympathy of many friends in their sad bereavement. Mr. Booth was distinguished for his many noble traits of character, and his life was a most exemplary one. He was twice married. His second wife, who was Miss Laura Lowe, still survives him. The above item taken from the Columbus Enquirer-Sun, of the 8th inst., will be sad news to the many friends in this section of “Uncle Billie Booth,” as he was familiarly known, having preached throughout this section for a great many years. Mr. Booth was a strong preacher and did much for the cause of Christ. The end of such a life as he lived must have been peaceful and happy, and the crown which he sought and won will ever shine bright in the kingdom above. Rest in peace, brother, and may we all meet you bye and bye.
