Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. today at the Talbotton Methodist Church with burial at the Parker-Matthews Cemetery in Prattsburg. Mr. Parker lived in Talbot County all his life. A graduate of the University of Georgia and a member of A.T.O. social fraternity, he had been a rural mail carrier for 22 years. He was a secretary of the Talbotton Lions Club, district President and state vice president of the Georgia’s Cattlemen Association, and a steward and finance chairman of the Talbotton United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Eley Parker; two daughters, Bonnie and Sue Parker, and his mother, Mrs. Marie C. Parker, all of Talbotton; and a sister, Mrs. Martha P. Buchanan, Rossville. He was a nephew of J.W. Cartledge, Columbus, and R.A. Cartledge, Talbotton, former Talbot County tax commissioner.
