Hon. John M. Robertson

Talbot county has had a scourge of deaths during the last twelve months.  Hon. 
Henry Persons, Ordinary, Hon. P.F. Mahone, Clerk; Hon. W.R. Wilson, member 
Board of Education; and the last county official to be taken was the beloved 
John M. Robertson, former tax collector.

Mr. Robertson had been sick for weeks and his death was not wholly 
unexpected.  He died Saturday morning and his remains were laid to rest in Oak 
Hill cemetery, Sunday at 12 o’clock.

The funeral was held at the Baptist church.  Rev. Graham Forrester, his pastor 
paid a loving tribute to his memory, which sounded the sentiments of all the 
deceased’s friends.  The funeral was attended by a representative crowd of 
Talbot county’s citizenry.

Mr. Robertson is survived by his wife who was a Miss Harris and several 
children.
