Trice, in Talbot County, on the 3d day of July, sister SUSAN VEAZEY, relict of JAMES VEAZEY, in the 79th year of her age. She was born in South Carolina. She removed with her parents to Hancock County in early life. She was brought up by Presbyterian parents. She was baptized into the fellowship of Powelton Baptist Church about 35 years ago, by Jesse Mercer, since which time she has adorned the doctrine of her Savior by a meek and orderly life and pious conversation. Her disease was tuburculer consumption. Her sufferings were painful and protracted but she bore them with the most commendable patience and resignation to the will of her Savior. To those who know her most intimately her life seemed faultless. She died as she lived full of faith and good works. Her numerous kindred and friends are consoled with the recollection that she sleeps in Jesus, and that He will bring her with Him at the resurrection of the just.
