Tombstone of James McCrorey Sr., located in Ephesus Presbyterian Church 
Cemetery, in Woodland, Talbot County, Georgia.
On tombstone:
Sacred to the memory of James McCrorey, Sr.
Born March 3rd, 1777
Died September 15th, 1860
He was for many years a member
and ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church.
"For if we believe that Jesus died and rose
again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus
will God bring with him."

Additional Comments:
James McCrorey, Sr., was born near Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland.
His family emigrated to Fairfield County, South Carolina, in 1791.
James, wife Jane Crawford McCrorey, and their 9 children moved to
Talbot County, Georgia, in 1832.
