Still trying to learn the story how they came to be buried here. NOTES: Who are these men? Several theories -- if you can help us, please do so. 1)could be the ones killed by Wilson's Raiders at Pleasant Hill when they came upon a refugee wagon train on their way to capture the Double Bridges on the Flint River. 2) they were men who died while under care of Doctor near the Tax community. The Valley Grove Baptist Church which was once there (now the Woodland Baptist Church in Woodland) records were lost when church was twice destroyed by tornadoes. There is a Valley Grove Baptist Church north of Tax crossroads which is a black congregation. Additional Comments: Email me for larger photo.
