He was inquiring for the census taker, stating that the population of our little city had increased, and he desired to have it shown immediately upon the census report. Mr. Johnson says it is a most promising 8-pound boy. The mother and son are doing nicely, and the attending physician give the encouraging report that with proper care, Mr. Johnson will speedily recover from his "son- stroke." The neighbors who had the pleasure of listening to friend Cumby, cheered most lustily, but he failed to respond to the hearty encore. Babies in the house are a wellspring of pleasure.
