Arnold, to Mr. E.J. Paulk, of Cairo, Ga. The wedding was a very quiet home event, only the relatives and family of the bride being present. Rev. T.B. Stanford, presiding elder of the Columbus District performed the ceremony. Among the out of town guests were Mrs. Eugene Clower, Mrs. F.M. Brannon and Mr. F. Clifford of Cairo, Prof. Robert M. Arnold of Columbus and Miss Ruth Arnold, of Wesleyan College. The Talbotton New Era Thursday, November 23, 1911 Page Three Shower In Honor Of Miss Mary Bell Arnold The attractive home of Mrs. P.M. Weston was the scene of a beautiful miscellaneous shower, Thursday evening in compliment to Miss Mary Bell Arnold, whose marriage to Mr. E.J. Paulk, of Cairo, will occur next Monday. The hostesses of the occasion were Mrs. P.M. Weston, Mrs. H.P. Weston and Mrs. F.L. Bardwell. They were assisted in receiving by Mrs. W.J. Thornton and Mrs. John M. Heath. The beautiful young maidens dispensing their smiles and courtesies were: Misses Juliet Wilkerson, Emily Heath, Mary G. Smith, Lucy Kimbrough and Louise McGehee. Sandwiches and tea were served in a dainty room amid smilax, flowers and the tender glow of the candelabra. The shower was arranged by Mrs. H.P. Weston. Gifts and tokens of great beauty and variety fell in soft profusion. Many guests were present and their written wishes expressed the love and sentiment of good will and friendship.
