A pretty home wedding was that of Miss Jennie Lou Carlisle and Mr. George Green Kellum, which took place at 2:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon November 24th at the residence of the bride’s parents. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Davis. The house was beautifully decorated with ferns and vines. The bride entered with her sister, Mrs. Claude Harrison, of Opelika, Ala. and the bride groom with his brother, Mr. James M. Kellum, of Shiloh. The bride was lovely in her gray traveling suit and carried a beautiful bouquet of white carnations and spiorhere. After the wedding a grand reception was given at the home of the bridegroom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Kellum. Quite a large number of their friends were present at the reception. The bride is the pretty and popular daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Carlisle of Oak Mountain, and Mr. Kellum is well thought of everywhere he is known.
