Childre – Lumpkin

The marriage of Miss Iva Chidre and Mr. Brooks Lumpkin was quietly solemnized 
on Sunday morning at 9:30 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and 
Mrs. Childre.

The bride was attired in a beautiful tan messalin suit with hat to match.

The attendants were Miss Martha Butler and Mr. John J. Lumpkin.

The ceremony was happily performed by Rev Schoville of Waverly Hall.

After receiving the congratulations and best wishes of their friends, they 
repaired to the home of the groom’s mother where an elegant menu was tendered 
them.

Mr. Brooks Lumpkin and Miss Iva Childre were married Sunday.  Mr. Lumpkin is a 
successful young farmer and businessman of O’Neals.  Mrs. Lumpkin is the 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Childre and one of Talbot County’s most refined 
young ladies.  The New Era wishes for this happy young couple a long and 
prosperous life.
