William Parker which occurred at the Reynolds Baptist church, Thursday, Dec. 30 at 2:30 p.m. Miss Hicks is the daughter of Mr. Aretus W. Hicks. Mr. Parker is the present representative of Talbot county, and is a candidate for the state senator in the next election. The ushers were Messrs. H.M. and A.G. Hicks, W.L. Carter and Dr. S.H. Bryan. Next came the attendants, Mr. G.C. Smith with Miss Mattie May Parker, Mr. M.A. McCoy with Miss Anabel Bickley; Mr. Walter Byrd with Miss Maggie May Matthews; Mr. Frank Parker and Miss Algia Harp. Then the groom accompanied by his best man, Mr. Tom Persons, and the bride accompanied by the matron, Mrs. C.L. Pyron. They were met at the altar by Rev. Z.T Weaver, who pronounced the solemn vows which united these two lives. Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party left for Talbotton the home of the groom, where a reception was tendered them by the groom’s mother and father. Wednesday evening at the home of the bride, the bridal party and visitors were tendered a 6 o’clock dinner. At the home many handsome gifts were in evidence, which again attested the popularity of the couple.
