Married

The people of Roughedge were considerably surprised last week when it was made 
known that a marriage had occurred in their midst without any warning being 
given.  The couple were Miss Mattie Allen and Mr. J. Jordan.  They attended the 
quarterly meeting at Mathews Chapel and on their way home were secretly and 
quietly married.

Miss Allen was a daughter of Mr. L. R. Allen and is a young lady of charming 
personality and sweet disposition.  While Mr. Jordan is an excellent Harris 
County farmer.  Their friends wish them long and happy lives.
