Lennard Transcribed 4/28/03 Dean J. Lennard J. C. Lennard State of Georgia Talbot County I J. C. Lennard of the state and county aforesaid do make and constitute this as my last will and testament and do herein appoint & assign my two sons, Joseph M. Lennard and William D. Lennard, as executors to execute and carry out the same. Being old and gradually growing infirm & knowing well the conditions of my effects and business, I have deemed it proper to make this my will in order that justice may be met between all herein interested. I will first that my executors shall pay all my just and legal debts and burial expenses and appropriate such amounts to the fixing up of the family cemetery as shall be necessary for the protection of the same and, second all the property that I may be possessed of at the time of my death shall be disposed of as hereafter directed & all the said property shall be equally distributed between my wife and children as hereafter directed. Some of my children being indebted to me by note, some of which are out of date, Yet I will that each one so indebted shall receive and accept the same as a portion of their share and should their indebtedness exceed or equal their share or interest they and each of them shall accept the same as their portion. Furthermore my present wife & myself when married did make and execute a marriage or written contract, which is now upon record in Talbotton, going to show, that she is to have a child part of my estate as a lifetime estate to be returned to the heirs of my body at her death. Her son James Grey having become indebted to me within the last ten years in an amount something over one thousand dollars principal and interest by note or notes & the said notes having been sued, proposed, agreed and contracted to accept the said notes as so much of her distributed share which contract and agreement has been witnessed, signed and deposited in the hands of Willis and Willis to be delivered to her as so much of her interest and share of the same whenever called upon, all of which I will to be carried out. I further will that all the household and kitchen furniture farming utensils corn fodder & stock of all kinds & all perishable property of which I may possess at death shall be sold for cash at a date as early as practible and the land to be sold one half for cash and & the balance on twelve months time with good and appropriate security& my executors to give bond for titles whenever the last payment is made accordingly to contract or deed & the land to be held subject for the same until paid for.
