I George Manyfe of the County and state aforesaid being of sound and disposing and knowing that is appointed unto all men to die , do make and ordain this to be my last will & testament in manner and form following to wit: Item commend & command my soul to almighty God who gave it and my body I resign to the last to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors herein after named and as regard my worldly effects which has pleased God to bless me with I give and bequeath as follows: Item 1st. I give and bequeath unto my wife, Nancy Manyfee my negro man, Dick, my negro woman Jessima, my negro boy, Garrison, my negro girl, Ginar , also my sorrel horse, Hamilton, and some other horse of like value, my barouche and harness, 2 cows & calves, one youlk of oxen cast together with my household and kitchen furniture and as much provisions as will be sufficient to maintain the family from the date of my death to the 25th day of December there after Lawhon, Richard Manyfe & Willis PManyfe their heirs jointly and also that the household and kitchen furnitrue be sold and the proceeds equally divided in likemanner between Martha Lawhorn, Richard & Willis P. Manyfee. Item 2. I give and bequeath unto son Willis P. Manyfee and my wife, Nancy Manyfee my lot of land whereon I now live known by no two hundred & forty nine (249) in the (23) twenty third district of orginally Muscogee, now Talbot county also ten acres more or less to be taken from lot no. two hundred and forty eight (248) in said district commencing the south corner of sd lot and to be "bound? of as to include within said ten acres my spring now used by ? to have and to hold said land within the improvements thereon unto the said Willis P. Manyfee & Nancy Manyfee jointly for their joint interest support, maintenance for and during natural life or widowhood of said Nancy Manyfee and at the death or marriage of the said Nancy Manyfee all of the above described land and premises ? vested in and to belong to the said Willis P. Manyfee & his heirs, absolutely & per simple and that no part of said land shall be disposed off by either the said Nancy or Willis P. without the consent and joint contract of both of them. Item Third, I give and bequeath unto my sons, Richard Manyfee and Willis P. Manyfee all the sums of money that may be due me notes and accounts at my death also the cash or ready money on hand after paying my just debts if there should be any remaining also I will that all the balance of my estate real and personal negroes excepted to be sold and the proceeds after paying all demands against me together with any my negroes remaining after my wife share is taken out to be thrown together into seven equal parts or lots To William Manyfee I bequeath one share or lot to Tatum Manyfee one share lot to Richard Manyfee, one share to George Manyfee and share to Willis P. Manyfee & Richard Manyfee trustees in trust for the use and support of my daughter, Martha A. Lawhorn and her heirs one share during the natural life and at her death to be equally divided between her children as they become of age or marry; to Elizabeth Wafer & her heirs the one half of one share to my granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Kirk, the one half of one share to my grandchild William Tatam son of Rebecca Tatum deceased the one half of one share and to the heirs of my daughter, Sarah Davis, the one half of one share making up the seven equal parts or lots of my Estate which I wish to be ? so that Elizabeth Wafer & Rebecca Ann Kirk make ??? above alluded to and added to the other six shares and divided accordingly so that said Martha Lawhon receive that amount less than the others of my children. Item 6. I will and desire that in the event that my grandchildren Rebecca Ann Kirk & William Tatum to whom I have given jointly one share my estate should die without issue or either or both die without issue ten and in that case the amount of said legacies and negro and negress to be returned to & divided between my two sons Richard & Willis P Manyfee. Item 7th I leave with mortification and regret that my son, Tatum Manyfee claims to have demands against me for an account for property or money received by me from the Estate of his grandfather Tatum deceased and that he threatens the collectin of the same of me or out of my Estate after my death and believing that I have fully settled and paid him and the heirs of said estate all demands which I have been accountable and he having set up no further claim in any ? him. Now my will and desire is that my Executors call upon him and the heirs of said deceased? for a full acquitance and discharge from them as full as may be missing before the amount of the legacies is paid out to them from my Estate. Item 8 I do hereby nominate and constitute and appoint my two sons, Richard Manyfee and Willis P. Manyfee Trustees in trust for ? of that part of my estate which I have bequeathed to William Tatum and Rebecca An Kirk my grandchildren or money with interest at lawful rates. Item 9 I do hereby appoint constitute and ordain my son Willis P. manyfee, my soul Executor in this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills by me amde heretofore. I witness whereof I the said George Manyfee hath herewith set my hand and affixed my seal this first day of October (1840) eighteen hundred and forty signed, sealed and published in this parpicatory? Menefee b. 22 Mar 1837/8 (son of Richard) m. Sarah Jane B. Lyon (Lyons) George's son Willis Pentecost is buried either in Palmetto or Fulton Co. His mother, Nancy, lived with him after George's death. Willis' family, I believe had him and his mothers bodies moved.
