JANES

Selah Janes          died July 11, 1834
relict of William Janes   age 61 yr, 8 mo, & 22 days

Simeon R. Janes      died 1838  age 29

William Janes        died July 9, 1827  age 56

This cemetery is located about 1/2 mile on the east
side of Highway 22 five miles north of Crawfordville
between South Fork Little River and Stephens Creek.
It is approximately 250 yards north of the southern
border of property now belonging to Dr. Spruell and
formerly belonging to Walter 0. Chapman.

William Janes gave the majority of the land given for
the establishment of the City of Crawfordville and
deeded land for the cemetery at Crawfordville Baptist
Church.
