Kenny Schuff and family on Highway 47 in the city of Crawfordville about 150 yards north of the Georgia Railroad. Martha Monk 1818-1855 consort of Robert B. Monk Robert Monk NOTES: (from Rhoda RhodaFone@aol.com ) Robert C. Monk was born April 1869, died 1927, son of Merrell T. Monk and Celestia Bell. He married Annie C. Gunn, 6 May 1888, Taliaferro Co. Annie Gunn Monk, wife of Robert C. Monk, was born Nov. 1870, died 1939, daughter of William Henry Gunn and Ella Amanda Taylor (sister of my grandfather, William Chesley Taylor). Raymond C. Monk, son of Robert C. & Annie (Gunn) Monk, born April 1899, died Nov. 15, 1941. Married Ruth Lee Andrews. Ruth L. Monk, born October 1896, died 1964, wife of Raymond C. Monk. Information from Laura Lee Crawford (now deceased) shows that she was Ruth Lee Andrews, daughter of Robert Lee Andrews and Aseneth "Zena" King. Ruth and Laura Lee were cousins. Merrell T. Monk, born 1919, died 1936, son of Raymond C. and Ruth Lee (Andrews) Monk. Robert C. & Annie (Gunn) Monk had another son, Robert Guy Monk, b. July 1889, married Annie May Shank, April 24, 1910, Taliaferro Co. 1900 Census, Taliaferro Co., GA District 607 Roll 223, Page 14B 13 June 1900 Dwelling 249, Family 250 Monk, R. C., Head, w, m, b. April 1869, age 31, mar. 13 yrs., b. GA, parents b. GA Grocery Merchant Monk, Annie, Wife, w, f, b. Nov. 1870, age 29, mar. 13 yrs., had 2 children, 2 living, b. GA, parents b. GA Monk, Guy, Son, w, m, b. July 18889, age 10, b. GA, parents b. GA, At School Monk, Raymond, Son, w, m, b. April 1899, age 1, b. GA, parents b. GA SEE ALSO: Pearson B. Monk married, as his second wife, Sarah W. Bell, daughter of Lucy and Joshua Bell, and SISTER of William Bell, not his widow. I just checked some of Wiley Jones cemetery records and found that there is a small cemetery near Liberty Hall where William Bell is buried - died Apr. 11, 1859, and his wife Sallie Bell also buried there, died March 7, 1959.
