Transcribed from notes taken by the late David Lewis Edwards. Listed as Asbury Cemetery in Wiley Jones book on page four. After extensive research on land grands and deeds this cemtery lines on the former land noted to be Benjamin Edwards land in the late 1700s. This grave site is located about 200 yards on the West side on the Road known as Boswell Cross Road 1/2 mile from the Cross Roads of Center Hill. The graves are located on the property line between the Old Asbury Place and the Jesse Colclough Place known now as the land of Heck Harrison. There is evidence of three or four unmarked graves presumed to be Benjamin and Mary Edwards and two of their daughters. These graves are enclosed by a stone wall. Last Name First Name Middle Name Birth Death Comment --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edwards Benjamin 1794 - 1795 Additional Comments: Rem and Brian Edwards estimated 15 - 20 unmarked graves on the hillside, Below the wall. It will take another trip for us to count the exact number.
