Mr. Robert Guill has returned to Camak after having succeeded Mr. W. B. Kendrick, agent of the Georgia railroad for several weeks. Mrs. Minnie Battle Allen will leave for Atlanta in a few days to visit friends and from there, will go to Boston for several weeks. Col. E. Y. Hill was in our city last week. Mr. Hill is one of Washington’s most highly esteemed and successful business men. The Sacred Heart seminary and the entire large convent building has been newly fitted up with gas fixtures. This is one of the best schools of the state and the building is one of the best equipped and up-to-date of new modern style, and every convenience that could be afforded. Mrs. A. L. Hillman and her charming daughter, Miss Annie, who have been spending several weeks at their summer residence near Hillman, have returned to their home in Atlanta. Miss Annie Lou Brown will visit friends in Washington this week. Mr. J. Lee Ethridge was in the city during the week. Mr. Ethridge is one of the most popular gentlemen on the road. The “hellos” are very numerous at the Telephone Exchange. An extra force has been required since the fall business season began. Sharon will be favored with two new mercantile businesses soon. It is a good growing town and the progressive citizens are going to keep it pushed along.
