This information was contained in a letter received in Crawfordville this week from Lieutenant Edwards himself. Lieutenant Edwards one of the best known and most highly esteemed young men in the county, having been born and reared in the Sandy Cross section and for several years before entering the army was connected with several of Crawfordville's leading business houses. He entered the second officers' training school at Fort Oglethorpe last fall, and on graduation was commissioned a second lieutenant. He was sent overseas early last spring, and was in some of the hardest fighting in which the American army engaged, during which he was slightly wounded.
