In Memory of Mrs. R.B. Edwards

With deep sorrow and a real sense of the great loss our county has sustained, 
we record the death of Mrs. Rem B. Edwards on Friday evening, February 20th.

Mrs. Edwards was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Gee. She was born in 
Crawfordville December 2, 1893.  She attended Stephens High School and 
completed her education at Chicora College in South Carolina.  She was married 
to Mr. Rem B. Edwards Dec 31st 1920, and to this happy union was intrusted a 
lovely little daughter, Caroline.

Mrs. Edwards was rich in friends who were attracted to her by her genuine 
worth. One felt that back of this outward life so unselfish and beautiful, 
there was a hidden life, a life hid with Christ in God.  In early girlhood she 
followed the injunctions of her Saviour, "See first the Kingdom of God," by 
giving her heart to Him through faith in Jesus and united with the Presbyterian 
Church.  In this faith she remained a loyal and devoted follower of her Christ 
and so it seemed fitting that, as the shadows of day were falling, the Master 
whom she loved and had faithfully served should have called her from the 
shadows of time to the light and joy of eternity.

In the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing relatives her remains were 
laid to rest in the Crawfordville cemetery Sunday, February 22nd.  Rev. Geo C. 
Steed, paster of the Crawfordville Baptist Church assisted her pastor, Rev. 
A.G. McInnis, in these last sad rites.
