Washington, Georgia can be seen above one of the articles and on the other only the partial name "The Journal Cov..." shows. The deceased was Rebecca (Darracott) Taylor, daughter of John W. Darracott and his wife, Susan Ann Chapman. We believe she died in 1929. The 1870 census for Taliaferro Co. gives Rebecca's age as 15 which, if correct, would make her 74 in about 1929. Gr. Aunt Rebecca was born and raised in Taliaferro Co. and was a sister of my grandmother, Sallie (Darracott) Taylor. "MRS. ALFONZO TAYLOR PASSED AWAY SUNDAY Friends of Mrs. W.C. Taylor, of Crawfordville, deeply sympathize with her in the death of her sister, Mrs. Alfonzo Taylor, of Atlanta, who died Saturday morning in a hospital at West Palm Beach, Fla., where she had been taken following an automobile accident in which she was injured several weeks ago. Her daughter, Miss Ruth Taylor, was also seriously injured in the same accident, and is now critically ill in the hospital where her mother died. Mrs. Taylor was, before her marriage, Miss Rebeccca Darricott, of this county, and has many relatives in the county who were saddened to learn of her death. She is survived by one son and two daughters, also three sisters and two brothers. She was 74 years old. Interment was in Atlanta beside her husband, who preceded her to the grave several years ago." ------ "Mrs. Rebecca Taylor's Body Reaches Atlanta; Died of Crash Injury The body of Mrs. Rebecca Taylor, formerly of Atlanta, who died Saturday at West Palm Beach, Fla., arrived in Atlanta Monday morning and was taken to the funeral establishment of Ed Bond & Condon Co., pending completion of funeral arrangements. Mrs. Taylor was fatally injured when the automobile in which she was motoring back to Atlanta on a visit overturned near Gainesville, Fla., about six weeks ago. She had lived in Atlanta the greater part of her life, but had been residing for the last few months in Clearwater, Fla. She is survived by a son, Walter Taylor, of West Palm Beach; two daughters, Mrs. Glen Wood and Annie Golucke, and Mrs. J. A. Cook, both of Atlanta, and Mrs. Sallie Taylor, of Crawfordville, Ga., and two brothers, Paul Darracott of Columbus, Ga., and Frank Darracott, of Atlanta." [NOTE: The last paragraph of this article is somewhat confusing. Mrs. J. A. Cook and Mrs. Annie Golucke were Rebecca's sisters as was Mrs. Sallie Taylor. Annulet Darracott married James Wingfield Golucke and was usually referred to as Aunt "Annie".]
