Mrs C. W. Gee, 86 years old died Monday at 1:30 o'clock at her home here 
following a long illness.

Mrs. Gee was the former Miss Lena Rhodes daughter of the late Dr. William 
Rhodes and Mrs. Martha Bickers Rhodes, a prominent and outstanding family of 
this section.  On July 1, 1891 she was married to Charles William Gee, born 
June 08, 1868.  In 1941 Mr. and Mrs Gee celebrated their Golden wedding 
anniversary.  She was one of Crawfordville's oldest citizens, and greatly 
beloved by host of friends and relatives here.  Funeral services were 
conducted at the graveside in the Crawfordville Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon 
at 4:00 by her pastor, Rev. Richard A. Dodd, assisted by Rev. Frank Alexander 
of Milledgeville.  Interment was in the family lot in the city cemetery.
