The sad news of the passing of Rev. H. M. Harrison was received in 
Crawfordville Tuesday, February 20th.  Rev. Harrison died at his home in 
Orlando, Fla., Monday, February 19, after several months illness.  Though he 
had been in failing health his passing was never the less a distinct shock to 
his family and friends.  Rev. Harrison was born in Clarke County in the year 
1864 and lived in that section of the state until he moved to Taliaferro 
County about thiry five years ago.  He had married on December 22, 1885 the 
former Miss Dilla Rhodes, daughter of Thomas James Rhodes and Carolyn V. Flynt 
of this County; Mrs. Harrison died about four years ago in 1936.  Rev. 
Harrison was a resident of this County until about 1925 when he moved to 
Flordia.  Rev. Harrison served a number of years as paster of Crawfordville 
Methodist Church where his funeral was conducted by Rev. G. C. Steed and 
burial was in the Crawfordville City Cemetery, his body was deposited beside 
that of his wife in the family square.
