Funeral Services Held for Mr. Cecil Steed Hunter

	Mr. Cecil Steed Hunter, 76, 3589 Sandy Cross Road, N.E., Crawfordville, 
Ga., died at Minnie G. Boswell Hospital on Sunday, November 24, 1996. 
	Mr. Hunter, a retired building contractor, was a lifelong resident of 
Taliaferro County. He was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church in 
Crawfordville where he served as Chairman of Deacons and was the former Sunday 
School Director. He was born in Taliaferro County, a son of the late William 
David and Eva Edwards Hunter.
	He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Thornton Hunter of 
Crawfordville; two sons, Manuel S. Hunter and David  L. Hunter, both of 
Washington; a brother, Everett (Rady) F. Hunter, Crawfordville; a sister, 
Evelyn Hunter Cofer, Washington; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
	Pallbearers were Lisa H. Newsome, Mike Hunter, Dave Hunter, Dan Hunter, 
John Hunter, Andy Hunter, and Warren Newsome, Jr.
	Honorary pallbearers were the Deacons of Sandy Cross Baptist Church.
	Memorials may be made to Sandy Cross Baptist Church, Crawfordville, 
Ga., 30631.
	Hopkins Funeral Home, Washington, Ga., in charge of arrangements.
