Died.

We are pained to announce the death of Mr. E. A. Meadows, which occurred at 
his residence in county, on Monday evening, this at 3 o'clock p.m., after a 
painfull illness of three weeks from an attack of paralysis. Mr. Meadows was 
in the 50th (hard to read) year of his age, and from early manhood was a 
consistent member of Phillips' Baptist Church in Wilkes county, and died in 
the faith with bright hopes of a blissful Eternity. Mr. Meadows was a man of a 
generous and social disposition, and leaves many friends and a wife and six 
children to mourn his death. Our sincere sympathies are with the beraved 
family.


Additional Comments:
E. A. could possibly be Edward A. Meadows who wed Mary Jane FLUKER on 5 March 
1857 in Taliaferro Co. Obit listed that he had six children; I have 5 --- 
missing one: John Harris MEADOWS, Sarah Cornelia "Sallie" MEADOWS, Lula 
Caroline MEADOWS, Letitia Reid MEADOWS, & Mary Emma MEADOWS.
