FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. LAURA BIRD McLAREN

	Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Bird McLaren, 70, were held at Roseland 
Memorial Chapel, Terre Haute, Ind. On Tuesday, March 18, 1997. She died March 
16 at Terre Haute Columbia/HCA Hospital
	Mrs. McLaren, a native of Crawfordville, Taliaferro County, Georgia, 
had lived in Indiana for 53 years. She was a homemaker and Vice-President of 
McLaren Truck  Line. She retired in 1979. She was a member of Faith Wesleyan 
Methodist Church and Terre Haute Women Transportation.
	Survivors include a son, Larry McLaren, grandsons, Sean Alexander 
McLaren of Terre Haute, Ind.; sisters, Margaret Bird Akins, Raceland, Ky., Nina 
Kate Bird Leaphart, Charleston, S.C., and Josie Bird, Crawfordville, Ga.
