FELTON OGLETREE Retired mechanic Mr. Felton Ogletree, of 1904 Thomas Lane, died Thursday April 8, 1993, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, with Dr. Gordon L. Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Ogletree, a native of Taliaferro County, had retired as a mechanic from Fort Gordon. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He was a member of Dabney Bible Class and Young at Hearts. Survivors include his mother, Agnes Amos, Decatur; six sisters, Leila Mae Swann, Union Point, Lenora Lunsford, Washington, Christine Almond, Athens, Alma Fuller, Avondale Estates, Lillian Dyer, Jacksonville, Fla., and Shirley Cowart, Powder Springs; and a brother, Floyd Ogletree, Tampa, Fla. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Dabney Bible Class. Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church. Friends may call at the funeral home. Additional Comments: Felton Ogletree was born October 25, 1916, Taliaferro Co., GA, son of Othur B. and Elma K. (Dunn) Ogletree. Although the obituary for Felton shows his mother as Agnes, she was his step-mother. His mother was Elma K. Dunn (daughter of James W. and Leila A. (Morgan) Dunn). Elma died in 1922 when Felton was very young.
