Funeral Services Held in Greensboro For Mrs. Louetta Griffith Snelson

Mrs. Louetta Griffith Snelson, 87, of Greensboro, Ga., died at the Dekalb
General Hospital on Saturday, October 13th. She was a 43 year resident of Greene
County.

Mrs. Shelson was born in Oglethorpe County on April 25th, 1903, a daughter of
the late Estelle Silvey and John Griffith. She was owner of the Greensboro
Mercantile and worked for the Discount Fabric Center for many years. She was a
member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro, Ga. and a member of Eastern
Star. She taught Sunday School and kept the nursery. She graduated from
Crawfordville High School.

Mrs. Snelson is survived by one daughter, Betty Snelson Stephens, Decatur, Ga.,
two granddaughters, Alicia S. Morris, Conyers, Ga., Patrice S. Heard, Decatur,
Ga., one grandson, Ralph Stephens II, Marietta, Ga., four great granddaughters,
2 great grandsons, and four sisters, Neva Blackwell, Crawfordville, Ga., Rozelle
Culbreath, Stephens, Ga., Kathlyn Crouch, Lithonia, Ga., and Stella Simpson,
Lithonia, Ga.

Funeral services were held at the McCommons Chapel in Greensboro, Ga., on
Monday, October 15, 1990 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Harold Tice officiating.

Interment was in the Greenview Cemetery, Greensboro, Ga.

Gentlemen serving as pallbearers were Al Godfrey, John Q. Qalker, David Simmons,
Tony Taylor, Billy Griffith and Larry Johnson.

McCommons Funeral Home, Greensboro, Ga., is in charage of arrangements.
