William B. Taylor
Crawfordville, Ga. –
Funeral services for William Bristol [sic - Bristow] Taylor, 77, of Atlanta, 
who died Tuesday in an Atlanta hospital after an extended illness, will be held 
at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Crawfordville First Presbyterian Church.  

The Rev. Walter G. Cook and the Rev. Floyd Jenkins will officiate.  Burial will 
be in Crawfordville Cemetery.  

Pallbearers will be Wales Flynt, Gus Barksdale, Frank Mitchell Jr., George 
Williams Jr., Emmett Taylor and William G. Taylor.  

A native of Crawfordville, Mr. Taylor was the son of the late Isaac and Nora 
Rhodes Taylor.  He was a retired agent for United Family Fund Life Insurance 
Company and was a member of Rock Spring Presbyterian Church.  

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Luella Philips [sic - Phelps] Taylor, two 
daughters, Miss Christine Taylor, Mrs. Edna Dodd; a son, W. B. Taylor Jr., all 
of Atlanta, two brothers, Calvin Taylor, San Diego, Calif., Isaac Taylor, 
Fitzgerald, Ga.; also three grandchildren.

Friends may call at the church one hour before service.  




Additional Comments:
William Bristow Taylor was born December 31, 1888, son of William Isaac Taylor 
and Lenora “Nora” Rhodes.  He died December 1, 1964, and is buried at 
Crawfordville Cemetery.  He was married December 31, 1912 to Luella Phelps, 
daughter of James A. Phelps and Georgia A. Moore.
