Frances Roberta "Willie" Darracott, born May 1864, probably in Taliaferro 
County, GA., died 08 Jun 1903 of Bright's Disease in Atlanta, Fulton Co., GA.  
One of eight known children of John W. Darracott and Susan Ann Chapman of 
Crawfordville, Taliaferro Co.  Married 04 Feb 1891 in Fulton Co., GA to James 
Marion Robbins.  He was born 20 Jan 1860, probably in Fulton or DeKalb Co., GA, 
and died 19 Jan 1919 in Atlanta of injuries sustained in a streetcar accident.  
Both are buried at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.  Two daughters survived them:  
Bertie Marie and Marjorie Anita.

Additional Comments:
When I was a child, this photograph lived in a frame on top of my grandmother's 
chest of drawers.  She told me it was her mother, Frances Roberta Darracott, 
that her mother was from Crawfordville, Georgia, and the photo was taken when 
she was 13.  There was a tone of reverence in her voice.  Her mother had died 
when my grandmother was not quite nine.  That was all I knew about Frances 
Roberta for a very long time.  It was hard for me to think of my grandmother as 
a little girl, much less her mother, so I was utterly fascinated by the 
picture.  I used to stand and stare at it for several minutes at a time, 
contemplating the somber intelligence in her eyes and wondering what her 
childhood must have been like.  The photo is a great treasure to me.  And I 
still wonder.
