Jordan took place Tuesday afternoon at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Laura Andrews. The hall, living room and the parlor were decorated in smilax and potted plants. As the guests arrived they were served a salad course with hot chocolate by Misses Emmie Kate Bristow and Elizabeth Asbury, who wore while net over yellow with yellow girdles. Just before the ceremony, Mrs. Nell Kendrick sang. Mrs. Alvin Golucke presided at the piano and during the ceremony played “Because,” accompanied on the violin by Mrs. Kendrick. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. T. P. Burgess, the ring ceremony being used. The couple stood in front of an improvised altar of palms and ferns in the parlor. The bride’s only attendant was her niece, Miss Lola Mae Callahan, who wore a lovely girlish dress of accordion plaited crepe de chine, pale blue with touches of pink and bands of silver in the bodice. She wore a hat of silver lace and carried an armful of pink roses. The bride wore a traveling suit of taupe with hat to match and her bouquet was of bride roses shimmered with valley lilies. Mrs. And Mrs. Jordan left immediately after the ceremony for Atlanta, their future home. The bride is one of the most beloved girls reared in this community and it is with sincere regret that a host of loyal friends yield her to a distant city. The groom holds a splendid position in Atlanta, where he has made scores of friends. Numbers of handsome gifts attested the popularity of this splendid couple.
