Georgia, Taliaferro County
I, S. N. Acree of said State and County being of sound and disposing mind and 
memory, do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former 
wills heretofore made by me –

Item 1st – It is my will and desire that all my just debts shall be paid by my 
Executor hereinafter named, so soon after my death as practicable.

Item 2nd – I will and bequeath unto Willie Acree wife of S. O. Acree during her 
natural life, and then at her death, unto the heirs of her body, for and during 
their natural lives, One Hundred and Twenty nine acres of land lying in said 
County of Taliaferro, also all kinds of stock that may belong to me at time of 
my death – the above named land is bounded as follows – On north by land of 
Mrs. Delia Boswell and lands of Mrs. Mary Kelly – On west by land of T. E. 
Bristow, On South by lands of John A. Caldwell and Nancy Moore, and on east by 
lands of Mrs. Ellen Stewart.

Item 3rd – And it is my further will and desire that David P. Henry shall be 
the Executor of this my last will and testament.  In witness whereof, I the 
said S. N. Acree to this my last will and testament consisting of the foregoing 
have set my hand and seal this the twenty fourth (24th) day of February 1898.

Signed declared and published by S. N. Acree as his last will & testament in 
the presence of us the subscribers who subscribe our names hereto in the 
presence of said testator (at his instance and request) and of each other, he 
signing in our presence and we signing in his presence.

By the honorable the Ordinary of said County.
Whereas S.N. Acree of this County, lately died testate, having while he lived, 
and at the time of his death, divers lands & tenements, goods, rights & credits 
within the County aforesaid, by means whereof the full disposition and power of 
granting the administration of all and singular the goods, rights & credits of 
the said deceased, and also auditing the accounts, calculations & reckonings of 
said administration, and a final dismission of the same to the Ordinary of said 
County, do of right belong; I, desiring that the lands and tenements, goods, 
rights and credits of said deceased, may be well and truly administered, 
converted and disposed of, do hereby grant unto D.P. Henry full power by the 
tenor of these presents, to administer the lands and tenements, goods, rights & 
credits of said deceased, which in his lifetime and at the time of his death 
did belong, and to ask, levy, recover and receive the same, and pay the debts 
in which deceased stood bond, so far as his lands & tenements, goods, rights & 
credits will extend, according to their rate[?] and order of law, being first 
sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God, to make a true and perfect 
inventory thereof and to exhibit the same to the Ordinary in the County 
aforesaid, in order to be recorded as required by law, and to render a Just and 
true account of said administration when thereto required, and you are hereby 
ordained, constituted and appointed Executor of all and singular the lands and 
tenements, goods, rights and credits of said deceased.  
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my 
office, this 1st day of August 1898
