[Comment:  This is one of the documents in the case wherein John Dixon (or 
Dickson) was accused to stealing a hog from Henry Holland.  As an added note, 
Henry Holland was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.  He fought for a North 
Carolina company, later moving to the Tattnall County of Georgia.]

[Comment:  The document was transcribed as spelled.  Some words were very 
hard, if not impossible to read.]

[Comment:  I was never able to find any mention of John Dougharty in census or 
other documents.  Jesse Collins lived in Tattnall in the early 1800’s as did 
Henry Holland.]



State of Georgia
Tattnall County}  

Know all men by this presences that we whose names is hereunto anexed are held 
and firmly bound unto his Excelency the Governor or his successors in office 
in the sum of two hundred and fifty Dollars each if default be made in the 
underwritten

The Conditions of the above obligation is such that if the above Bound Henry 
Holland to meet and appear at the next Superior Court for this County there to 
prosecute to effect John Dixon in a case of felony and does not abscond 
himself without the permission of the Court then and in such case the above 
obligation to be void otherwise to be and remain in full force and vetue
