[Comment:  This is one of the documents in the case wherein John Dixon (or 
Dickson) was accused to stealing a hog from Henry Holland.  As an added note, 
Henry Holland was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.  He fought for a North 
Carolina company, later moving to the Tattnall County of Georgia.]

[Comment:  The document was transcribed as spelled.  Some words were very 
hard, if not impossible to read.]

[Comment:  I was never able to find any mention of John Dougharty in census or 
other documents.  There was a Tillman family in Tattnall, but no Jeremiah.  
There was a Jeremiah in Appling County.]


State of Georgia
Tatnall County}	

By John Dougharty a Magistrate for this County & whereas it hath been made 
appear by the Oath of David Hollin this day before me that John Dixon has been 
Detected in the act of hog stealing the property of Mr. Henry Holland and it 
being repugnant to law I do command you therefore

To take into custody the Body of Said John Dixon if found in this County and 
him safely keep so that you him before me or some other Justice of the peace 
for said County that he may be further delt with as the law directs herein 
fail not given under my hand this Ninth Day of April 18.4
