Whereas the Constitution of this state at or in the first section of the seventh Article and the acts of the Legislature did make provisions of homestead for the minor heirs of its inhabitants. Your petitioner prays and said Constitution and laws (sic), that your Honor grant him an order to W. J. JORDAN, County Surveyor, to run out 600 acres of land as a homestead for himself and wife, and minor children; also your honor do set aside the following personal property to-wit: 1 Bay mare worth $50.00 8 Head stock cattle $64.00 15 Head stock hogs $15.00 1 Buggy $25.00 Household and Kitchen Furniture, and your petitioner will ever pray & c. 26th day October, 1868, Petitioner Examined and recorded January 7th, 1870.
