As an added note, Henry Holland was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He fought for a North Carolina company, later moving to the Tattnall County of Georgia.] [Comment: The document was transcribed as spelled. Some words were very hard, if not impossible to read.] [Comment: The spelling varied between Hollin and Holland. David and William Holland are the names of two of Henry’s sons.] State of Georgia Tattnall County} The examination of David Hollin who on his oath sayeth that on the eighth day of this instant in the afternoon of that day that he met John Dickson of this County with a hog on his back which hog this deponent well knew to be the property of Henry Hollin and he saw the said Dickson put it in a pen with an appearant intention of converting it to his own use furthermore this deponent sayeth not. Sworn before me this Nineth Day of April 18.4 David Holland John Dougharty JP Examenent binds himself in the sum of one hundred dollars to appear at the next Superior Court to give evidence. State of Georgia Tattnall County} The examination of William Holland who on his oath sayeth that on the ninth day of this instant he was at the plantation of Mr. John Dixson and that he saw a certain hog in the possession of the said Dixson which hog he the said Dixon clamed as his property and this deponent on his oath sayeth that he hath has certain knowledge of said hog ever since it was a small pig and that he knows it to be the property of Mr. Henry Holland furthermore this deponment sayeth not Sworn to this tenth day of April 18.4 William Holland John Dougharty JP Examint acknowledges himself bound in the sum of one hundred dollars to appear at the next Superior Court for this County to give evidence.
