Dowdy Sheriff of the county aforesaid of the one part and William M. Sharp of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Edmond Kennedy Constable of the three hundred and fifty first District G.M. in the said county did lately seize and levy upon a certain tract of land situate lying and being in the county aforesaid on the Ohoopee River containing two hundred and twenty eight acres bounded South by Arthur Moores land East by B. Nail North by Stephen Findley; and returned to Benjamin F. Dowdy Sheriff of said county as the property of William B. Green by virtue of a writ of fifa issued from a Justice Court held in and for the three hundred and fifty first in said county in favor of M. Moore against William B. Green and after publically advertising said tract of land agreeable to law did put up and expose the same to sale at public out cry on the first Tuesday of October inst. at the door of the court house in the said county within the legal hours of sale When said tract of land was knocked off to said William M. Sharpe at and for the sum of twenty dollars he being the highest and best bidder now for and in consideration of the said sum of twenty dollars in hand paid to him the said Benjamin F. Dowdy Sheriff as aforesaid by him the said William M. Sharpe at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Benjamin F. Dowdy Sheriff as aforesaid hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sale unto him the said William M. Sharpe his heirs executors and administrators and assigns all the right title and interest of the said William B. Green in said tract of land of which said William B. Green was seized and possesses in and to the same with all the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple In witness whereof the said Benjamin F. Dowdy Sheriff as aforesaid hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written. Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Joshua Sharpe Josiah P. R. Sikes Clerk State of Georgia, Tattnall County To any lawful officer of the said county to execute and return you are hereby commanded that of the goods and chattels lands and tenements of William B. Green you levy and by distress of sale thereof cause to be made the sum thereof thirty dollars principle with interest from the 6th of March 1849 and one dollar fifty six and a quarter percent in case of sale which was recovered against him at a Justice Court held in and for the 351st District G.M. on the third Saturday of February 1852 in favor of Manning Moore and have you the said Moneys at a Justice Court to be held in and for said District on the third Saturday in March ensewing and have you then and there this writ to render in satisfaction to the plaintiff for his debt and cost hereof fail not Given under my hand and seal this 20th Febr. 1856 Joseph Coe J.P. I have this day levied a fife on a certain tract of land containing two hundred and twenty eight acres more or less lying on the Waters of the Ohoopee pointed out by Charles McColough as the property of William Green in favor of Manning Moore this 30th day of June 1856 Edmond Kennedy Constable Received 315 dollars and 90 cts on the above Sale this 7th October 1856 Benjamin F.
