All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Vance Harris harrisbrewing@gmail.com March 13, 2012, 5:14 pm 351st District of Tattnall County Written: November 29, 1849 Recorded: April 18, 1854 Georgia, Irwin County This indenture made this the twenty ninth of November in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty nine between Daniel Turner of the county of Tattnall and state aforesaid of the one part and Micajah Philips of the same state and county of Montgomery of the other part, Witnesseth that the said daniel Turner for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and does by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto said Micajah Philips his heirs and assigns all that track or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Tattnall on the waters of the Big Ohoopee containing one thousand acres more or less joining lands to Stephen Findley William Davis joining Moses Coe Bazemore and Collins to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land unto him the said tract or parcel of land unto him the said Micajah Philips his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said Daniel Turner for himself his heirs executors administrators the said bargained premises unto the said Micajah Philips his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever in witness whereof the said Daniel Turner hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written. Additional Comments: Daniel Turner was the son of Charles Turner of Burke County Georgia who died circa 1829. On Nov 2, 1829 as an orphan, Daniel Turner is assigned to the guardianship of his brother-in-law William B. Green.
