B, 61st Ga Inf. Court of Ordinary Tattnall County H.H. Daniel, Judge Reidsville – Georgia Georgia Tattnall County. Personally before me HH Daniel Ordinary in the for said county came Mrs Susan Green who on oath says that she was mistaken as to her husband, Daniel Green, coming home on furlough. When Application was made had given the matter but little consideration. My husband came home on final discharge. He was wounded in Va in 1864 by being shot through the leg above the ankle. He stayed in hospital several months and his wounds being a permanent injury was given a final discharge from service and sent home. He arrived home about two or three weeks before surrender. The wound found to be a permanent injury to his death in 1881. He was never able to hold up at any kind of work that required walking. He enlisted in the summer of 1861 with Capt McRae or Tillman am not absolutely certain which. He could not walk for some time after war closed with out aid. X Mark of Susan Green Sworn to and subscribed before me this the 20th day of June 1911. H.H. Daniel Ordinary Additional Comments: Susan is mistaken about the year her husband died. Daniel died Dec. 4, 1882. Both Susan and Daniel Green are buried at Evergreen Baptist Church in Modern Day Candler County Georgia.
