This state of affairs is accepted by the two officials whose official heads have been marked for slaughter, and it is only a question of a short time before a change will be made, so we are informed. It seems that the pretext for the step arises from the report of a post office inspector who dropped in on these officers unawares about ten days ago. While the funds belonging to the government were at hand yet there seemed to be some irregularity in the bookkeeping which we are informed was only technical. It may be that political influences both in and out of the county may have something to do with the changes. Tattnall Times: A party close in touch with the Cummings road stated toa Tattnall Times reporter one day this week that "We are going to Glenville. We have the Seaboard back of us, and we expect to be operating our road to that point before long." At any rate Glenville will have a line of railroad before much longer. She needs one, and her people deserve all that is coming out of it.
