Mayfield REIDSVILLE--- Mrs. Effie Canady Mayfield, 75, died Wednesday afternoon at a Vidalia nursing home. The native of Montgomery County had lived in Reidsville for 17 years and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Vidalia. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ann Waller of Reidsville; two sons, James Canady of Reidsville and Elmo Canady of Soperton; a sister, Mrs. C. Morris Goff of Vidalia and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3pm from the reidsville Baptist Church. Sterling Bargeron officiating. Active Pallbearers, J. C. Davis Jr., Trexel Canady, William Canady, Gary Coleman, Charles, Gray, Hilton Culpepper, and Bill Barr. Interment in the Reidsville City Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the funeral hour. McCall-Trapnell Funeral Home is in charge.
