OBITUARY: Savannah Morning News November 20, 1959 - METTER - Mrs. Ella NeSmith 
Morgan, 75 died early Wednesday morning at her home, RFD, Cobbtown, after a 
long illness.  She was a native of Toombs County and the daughter of the late 
Jimmy and Elizabeth Denmark NeSmith. Mrs. Morgan was a member of the Hillside 
Church of God.
She is survived by five sons, W. H. Morgan, Lyons, Louis Morgan, Cobbtown, 
Overn Morgan, Rock Hill S.C., Clyde Morgan, Reidsville, and J. P. Morgan, 
Cobbtown; four daughters, Mrs. Jimmy Green, Cobbtown, Mrs. E. L. Kersey, 
Orlando, Fla., Mrs. John Fowler, Lyons, and Mrs. Buford Mack, Savannah; two 
brothers, Tommy NeSmith and George NeSmith both of Lyons; one sister, Mrs. 
Idell Durrence, Collins; 61 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren and one great 
great grand child. 
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the Little Flock 
Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. A. W. Harper and Rev. E. W. 
Ashmore.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. Grandsons will serve as 
pallbearers.  They are David Kersey, Archie Morgan, James Morgan, William 
Fowler, Talmage Green and J. W. Morgan.  The body will be carried to the Louis 
Morgan residence at 1 p.m. Thursday. Hooks Mortuary of Metter is in charge of 
the arrangements.
