OBITUARY: Savannah Morning News November 4, 1949 - METTER Ga., Nov 4 - John C., 
Collins, 80, died at his home in Collins this Afternoon after a few weeks 
illness.
The son of the late John and Martha Mewman Morgan, he is survived by his wife 
Ella Nesmith Morgan, Collins; five step-sons, William H. Morgan, Lyons, J. P. 
Morgan, Lyons, Lewis Morgan, Cobbtown, Overn Morgan. Rock Hill, S.C., and Clyde 
Morgan, Collins; one daughter Mrs. Buford Mack, Cobbtown; three Step-daughters, 
Mrs. Jimmy Green, Cobbtown, Mrs. Elizah Kersey, Stillmore, and mrs. John 
Fowler, Lyons; fifty-two grand children and eleven great-grandchildren; one 
sister Mrs. A. J. Rewis Galivanis, Ferry S. C..
Funeral services incomplete and will be announced later by Hooks Mortuary.
