The Altamaha Schoolhouse was built in the Altamaha Community, Tattnall County.
The note attached to the photo was dated April 21, 1904.  The note stated that
this was the "L. Pearson Old Schoolhouse."  L. Pearson was Lawrence Pearson
(1831-1911).  The schoolhouse was probably built around 1870.
