Know men by these present that I, Rebecca Stanley of the state of GA, Tattnall Co. for and consideration of the good will, love and affection that I bear for my son Wiley, Shadrack, and my two daughters Martha and Mary Ann Rebecca Standley do give unto them four fifths of the stock cattle (the estate of Shadrack Standley desceased) reserving the Beef cattle for educating the said named children out of the stock. To have and to hold the foresaid stock of cattle unto the said Wiley, Shadrack, Martha, and Mary Ann Rebecca when twenty one and Martha and Mary Ann Rebecca at age of eighteen and in case that either of said children should die his or her share shall revert to those that survive. I do obligate to keep the said cattle till the said children shall demand their share, but cannot be accountable for those that may die or be drowned in the river swamp by the annual freshets in the river. Their heirs executors and ministrators and assigns forever. And I said Rebecca Standley for myself, my heir executors and administrators shall and will warrant and defend the same against myself, my heirs, and assigns and all other persons unto the said Wiley, Shadrack, Martha and Mary Ann Rebecca their executors, administrators and assigns by those present in witness where of I herinto set my hand and seal this 6th day of May 1831. (1) one negro woman named Precilla, one gray horse and buggy, $17.00, $26.50 on W.W. Standley, one bed and furniture, one loom, (20) head of three year old hogs, (30) bushels of corn, (200) pounds of fodder, (200) pounds of bacon, (10) gallon keg of lard, (1/4) part of cattle belonging to said estate, amounting to (50) head valued at $1300.00, and do agree to settle with Jourden Poppell his charge for my board and for the time I lived with him. Reidsville, Tattnall Co., GA Records show: J. A. Knight leased 5 acres of land to Rebecca Anderson for her natural life to be returned to owner, J. A. Knight at her death. Land part of John Booth land. Will Record (3) The Last Will and Testament of Rebecca Anderson as recorded in wills at Reidsville, GA, Tattnall Co.dated Jan. 24, 1860 State of Georgia, Tattnall County In the name of God and I, Rebecca Anderson, of the said state and county, being of advanced age and knowing that I must shortly depart this life. Deem it right and proper both as respects to my family and myself that I should make a disposition of property, with which a kind providence has blessed me, do therefore make this last will and testament, hereby revoking all others, heretofore made by me: Part 1: I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and christian like manner suited to my circumstances and condition in life: "My soul I trust shall return to rest with one who gave it". Part 2: I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my executors herein after appointed, as I am unwilling. My creditors shall be delayed in their rights, especially as there is no necessity for delay. Part 3: I give, bequeath and devise to my son, Wiley W. Standley, two hundred dollars ($200.00) Part 4: I give, bequeath and devise to my son, Shadrack Standley, five dollars ($5.00) Part 5: I give, bequeath and devise to my son-in-law, Jourden Poppell, five dollars ($5.00) Part 6: I give, bequeath and devise to my son, Charles Anderson, five dollars ($5.00) Part 7: I give, bequeath and devise to my son, Edward Anderson, all the balance of my estate both real and personal. Part 8: I hereby constitute and appoint my worthy friend, Wiley Baxter, executor of this my last will and testament. This the 24th day of January 1860. Rebecca X Anderson L. S. Standley, 30 years, born GA...wife Lamendin, 30 yrs., children: Allist T., blind; Raiford, 3; Mary, 8; Shadrak, 6. Also living in the home was Mrs. Anderson, 53 yrs., b. SC and James Moody, Jr., 20, laborer. Family #51. Fact 2: In 1845, May 5th, Jonathan Anderson was the administrator of the estate of Mrs. Elizabeth Grubbs, who he had taken care of for 5 years.
