Fuller was born in Monroe County near Culloden. Was born on May 1st, 1837, was reared in Monroe, Crawford and Taylor Counties. He lived a portion of his life in Monroe County and moved from there to Crawford County and lived there several years and moved from there to the northern portion of Taylor County and lived there until he entered the Army . He was married in Taylor County on May the 16th, 1866, to Miss Addie R. McCants. To them were born eight children -- six boys and two girls. Has two boys dead. He entered the Army at The Rock in Upson County in the year 1861 and served four years. He was a gallant soldier. He fought in the battle of Murfreesburough, the battle at Vicksburg, the battle of Chicamauga, the battle near Atlanta and many others. He was wounded in the battle at Chicamauga. He spent his last school days at Talbotton. He was well educated. He went to Alabama after the war and lived there several years and moved back to Taylor County and has been here the rest of his life. He is 85 years and four months old." Note: Fuller, William Z.
